Social skills, work cycle, fine and gross motor skills will be introduced and developed in this curriculum. Our staff will support children improve their independence and a sense of order. For example, food preparation and courtesy lessons.
The lessons improve five senses through comparing and contrasting activities such as matching, grading, and sequencing objects. These activities are the foundation of mathematics, music, and science. For instance, grading colors and sizes helps children distinguish from darkest to lightest and biggest to smallest.
Montessori math is based on a tactile experience. For example, in arithmetic, educators will count out small items out and match to numerals on a card. During the 3-year Montessori program, children will learn numerals and four mathematical operations with various materials and in different methods. Also, time, money, measurement,
temperature, and calendar will be introduced. The Montessori math curriculum will support children to build a solid foundation for elementary and future math learning.
Montessori language study is based on phonics. it improves skills for verbal communication, reading and writing. For example, children can learn the sounds of the alphabets through engaging with sandpaper letters.
Natural laws such as magnetism, buoyancy, evaporation, chemical reactions, light and colors will be introduced in our science curriculum. For example, children will observe Volcano Eruption by mixing baking soda with red-colored vinegar.
Children will learn cultural variety by working with cultural materials. Culture materials include geography, history, zoology, botany, etc. For example, in geography, Montessori Globes, Land and Water forms, Puzzle maps, and flags of the World will be introduced and explored.
Nurturing children's love of literary by reading Chinese stories and poetry. Meanwhile, recognizing and tracing Chinese letters and pronouncations will improve children's handwriting and fine motor skills.
